"Retail businesses that deal with specialty or complex inventory often find POSIM a practical fit for day-to-day operations. It helps manage sales, stock, and customer transactions without making things overly complicated for store staff. Specialty retail management is where it tends to work best, giving teams a focused way to handle what matters most on the floor. However, businesses outside of retail or those needing multi-location support at scale may find it limiting."

I’ve been a POSIM user for over 20 years, and while the software used to be strong, the current EVO version has become frustrating. The Mac OS version feels clunky, with a click-heavy interface and missing features like the top dropdown menu. Advanced features are powerful, but ongoing issues—especially with the Shopify Linker web API—are not being addressed. Worst of all, customer support has nearly disappeared. Emails and calls go unanswered for days, and follow-through is minimal. If you rely on responsive support and active development, this may not be the right choice.
This tool has been fantastic for improving restaurant service. It allows staff to spend more quality time with guests while efficiently managing orders directly at the table. I love that customers can pay by card right there, making the whole experience smoother. As a new user, I’m still learning all the features, but so far, everything has been intuitive and helpful. Nothing negative to report!
