Why SoftwareWorld Chooses Nessus

"Security teams rely on Nessus to find vulnerabilities across networks before those weaknesses become real problems. It helps IT professionals scan systems, identify risks, and prioritize what needs fixing. For businesses that handle sensitive data or need to meet compliance requirements, regular scanning becomes a practical necessity rather than an option. That said, smaller teams without dedicated security staff may find the volume of scan results difficult to interpret and act on without proper technical knowledge."

A Great Product to Scan Vulnerabilities

Nessus is a powerful tool for vulnerability scanning, offering clear dashboards and helping with quick remediation of issues. While it’s a bit pricey, it’s very effective and useful for keeping systems secure.

Tenable Nessus – A Robust Vulnerability Assessment Tool

Tenable Nessus is my go-to tool for vulnerability assessment, helping to identify security threats and breaches with ease. It’s simple to manage and the automation features are very handy. After testing several tools, we chose Nessus because it’s user-friendly and suitable for both experienced and intermediate users. The frequent updates keep the security system effective, and the scan reports make it easy to spot issues and take action to fix them.

Vulnerability Scanner with Great Reporting Features

Nessus is a solid tool for network security testing and vulnerability checks, especially when paired with Nmap. I like it because it gives clear, organized reports that make it easy to understand network issues and OS weaknesses. The results are mostly accurate, though I did notice a few false positives on hardened Linux or newer Ubuntu versions. Still, the reports are easy to export, compare, and use for documentation. Overall, it’s very helpful for analyzing virtualized networks, and any false positives can be filtered out without much trouble.

Best Vulnerability Manager!

We use Nessus regularly and we’re very satisfied with it. The pricing is good, the dashboards are helpful, the scans run quickly, and the reports are detailed and easy to understand. The only thing that could be better is the user group management, which could be more efficient.

Decent General-Purpose Scanner

Nessus was my first tool for scanning both my local system and network, and it has been doing a pretty good job so far. It’s great at catching common, easy-to-spot threats, which makes it a reliable option for everyday security checks. The only downside is that the setup can be tough for beginners or anyone who isn’t very tech-savvy, so getting everything configured might feel challenging at first.

Worth the Purchase for Vulnerability Assessment

Overall, Nessus delivers efficient scan results and generates effective reports that help secure an organization’s network assets. The setup is straightforward, and the application is easy to use once you get familiar with it. It’s very useful for identifying vulnerabilities, providing detailed reports that show exactly where issues are and how to fix them. The tool stays updated, even detecting zero-day vulnerabilities in software and technologies used by the network, and covers almost all security concerns on network devices or servers with thorough credentialed scans.
