SoftwareWorld Editorial Review

Why SoftwareWorld Chooses Medrio

"Clinical research teams often turn to Medrio when they need a more manageable way to handle electronic data capture during trials. It tends to work well for small to mid-sized research organizations that want to move away from paper-based processes without dealing with overly complex setups. The platform suits teams running studies that require organized data collection and regulatory compliance. That said, very large enterprise-level organizations running highly complex, multi-region trials may find it limited in scale."

About Medrio

Clinical trials generate large volumes of sensitive data, and managing it efficiently while maintaining compliance can be challenging for research teams. Medrio is a cloud based eClinical data management platform built to simplify how clinical study data is collected, validated, and analyzed across the entire trial lifecycle. It is widely used by biotechnology companies, medical device organizations, CROs, and pharmaceutical teams conducting regulated research.

The platform combines electronic data capture, clinical data management, and electronic outcome assessments within a unified system, reducing the need for multiple disconnected tools. Key capabilities include no code study configuration, real time data validation, audit trails, role based access controls, and regulatory compliance aligned with global standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GDPR.

Medrio supports decentralized and hybrid trials with remote data collection, faster study startup, and flexible mid study updates. Organizations use it to improve data quality, accelerate timelines, and maintain inspection readiness while keeping clinical operations efficient and scalable.

Efficient eClinical Software

My experience with Medrio has been excellent, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone. The electronic data capture and eClinical tools are outstanding, making managing clinical data much easier. I also appreciate the secure data storage with reliable backup and recovery. The only area for improvement would be reducing server latency and making the interface more interactive, but overall, it’s a dependable and effective platform.

Clinical Data Management Tool

I really enjoy using Medrio and am glad my company relies on it so often. It’s widely used in our industry for building databases and storing clinical trial data, and even those without programming experience can easily view, share, and download information. While the software can sometimes feel limited at first, their helpful and responsive customer service more than makes up for it.
