One of the most frustrating parts of the rise of AI tools is that there is an absence of a single, unified, well-designed platform. The industry is fragmented and to use the newest consumer AI models, you either need to download, and pay, for multiple different services. Or you need to be a developer that’s willing to jump through hoops to get models installed and running with tools that don’t value the user interface.
Odyssey aims to solve this problem. Our vision is to not only become the default way to run AI models locally on your Mac, but an end-to-end solution where you can create remarkable art, get work done, and automate repetitive tasks with the power of AI, cutting-edge machine learning models, and advanced image- and text-processing algorithms.
There are two ways to use Odyssey: nodes and workflows. Nodes are locally run AI and ML models, APIs, image filters, text transformers, and utility actions that convert an input into an output. Workflows are collections of connected nodes that allow creators to easily achieve a desirable result. Using a workflow is as simple as picking a use case, adding an input, and getting a remarkable result.
Once you’ve built workflows you’re happy with or tweaked the pre-loaded workflows that Odyssey provides, you can easily share workflow templates with your friends or network. You can even create miniature apps called Widgets that let you run workflows directly from your desktop or as Apple Shortcuts.
With Odyssey, harnessing the power of your Mac to run AI locally is more accessible and powerful than ever before - and there’s still more to come. Odyssey is in public beta, which means we update the app very frequently, and there are a ton of features on our roadmap that any creator will be ecstatic about.
